Mya Kate's music hits you differently as she draws us back to that classic country sound reminiscent of early female country artists. Mya Kate is influenced by a wide range of incredibly talented artists and songwriters from Dolly Parton and Chris Stapleton to homegrown Tenille Townes. Driven to share her music with the world, Mya Kate pursues every opportunity to perform. She has an incredible ability to connect with people of all ages and through all walks of life. She has had extensive performance experience as a Senior Singer with The Young Canadians of the Calgary Stampede from 2020-2023, and as a solo artist collaborating with other musicians in and around Alberta. In 2023 and 2024 Mya Kate was nominated for the Horizon Youth Award with Country Music Alberta, as well as released her first single Cowboy When You Wanna Be to all music platforms. This year, Mya Kate is Global Country’s 2025 winner. Mya Kate's dreams are as big as the Alberta sky, and her voice just may be big enough to get her there.
