Former rock n' roller JASON HOFER fronted such indie-rock groups as 'International Cold Beat' and 'The Heartwicks', until experiencing a life-altering biking accident in the Rocky Mountains. He spent the next six-months of his life recovering from a broken neck and shattered dreams. Returning to Southern Alberta and dusting off his acoustic guitar and harmonica, Jason began writing and composing a large collection of original folk/roots and gospel/blues influenced songs which would form the foundations of his soon to be self-titled solo project. Hofer then independently produced and released his debut album ‘SCARS’; a 12-songs of brokenness, hope, and healing. He has been performing this material throughout British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan with a focus on intimate House Concert settings. Jason Hofer is now based in Bragg Creek, AB and is currently producing his sophomore album ‘EXILES’, which is set to be released throughout 2023-2024. He also owns and operates Refinery Record Room, a recording facility in the woods of West Bragg.
