Self-described as “born in the wrong decade,” Loren Marie Story spent her childhood and early adult life with a deep love for show tunes and Hollywood Glamour of the 1930s and 40s. After performing with a swing dance “little big band” in the midwest for five years, Loren took her classical vocal training and stage experience and founded her own group in 2018. Her near and dear influences include Sarah Vaughan, Peggy Lee, Doris Day and Ella Fitzgerald. James Morgan is a Los Angeles-based pianist and keyboardist who has been performing in and around the state for over 10 years. He has arranged and composed for a wide variety of performers as well as leading his own performances. He got his education in music and jazz piano performance in high school and at CSU Northridge and has all-around experience in playing and performing MD duties.
