Queen of the Worms' origins date back to 1995 and is based on original music written by Tyler Bird. The first album, released in 1997, was a blend of punk rock, and noisy rock with influences like Dinosaur Jr., Nomeansno, supporting his own take on mostly electric guitar based songwriting. QOTW has continued to develop, presently making a sort of proggy alternative-rock sound played as a 3-piece up to a 5-piece live ensemble.
