Donna Lee Randon has entertained and taught voice for over 30 years. She can take centre stage as "the performer" or sing intimately as background music. Her desire to entertain began at age nine when, during her first public performance she claimed second prize in a singing contest. At age 13, she taught herself to play guitar. By age 14 she began writing her own songs, was leading music for the services in her church and formed a folk group called "Musicale". In her late teens she began singing in dance bands. Donna Lee attended Grant MacEwan college where she studied voice and performance. Following her studies she worked in nursing homes as the "Music Lady" providing music therapy for the residents. Her CD "Spirit of Love" combines some well-known songs like "Let It Be" with six of her own compositions all presented in a gentle, soothing style. Her repertoire spans from Country, Easy Listening, 60's pop and dance music, to Jazz Standards and show tunes, as well as some originals, etc. She performs songs by Dolly Parton, Martina McBride, Ella Fitzgerald, Abba, Patsy Cline, Nana Mouskouri, Julie Andrews, Elvis, CCR, etc. Currently, she continues to teach singing and entertain as a solo artist and in the dynamite duo "Country Plus" with piano player Leon Roy. Whether she's "On Stage" or in the privacy of her music studio, Donna Lee's passion lies in helping people "connect to and express the life and voice within." Donna Lee is happiest when she is singing.
