SaBand are many things. The metamorphosis of a solo project into a full-fledged band, a delightfully weird amalgamation of musical styles, a celebration of rock in its purest form. Initially conceived by vocalist/guitarist Daveed Saban as a bedroom pop project, SaBand have established themselves as a high energy live act inspired by the likes of Zappa, Ween, The Smiths, and Weezer. Produced by Felix Fung (Mother Sun, Winona Forever, The Prettys), SaBand’s upcoming record What You Paid For channels the group’s uninhibited approach to songwriting and creativity with songs ranging in style from fiery punk on their latest single “A Jack Rabbit Who Counts Cards” (out now), to swaggering garage rock and sunny psychedelic pop.
