Hunter and the Kill is an alt-rock sister duo, with Hunter-Jolie Booth (20 years old) on guitar and lead vocals, and Scarlette Booth (17 years old) on drums and harmonies. Inspired by the riot grrrl movement of the 90s as well as grunge bands like Veruca Salt and Hole, the band focuses on original material with strong messages behind their lyrical content backed by loud driving guitar and drums. The group has been together since April 2019, and have played notable festivals in Calgary such as Femme Wave, Big Winter Classic, and Lilac Festival.
