Johnny Hatch is an inspiring singer-songwriter and dynamic performer, who's now moved back to Vancouver. There's a happy, fun vibe and groove in the more uptempo songs, contrasted with songs of deeper emotion in the slower songs. The live set contains well-written, catchy originals and classic covers. Hatch performs on vocals and acoustic guitar, either solo, duo, to full band as needed, to match the event and venue. He enjoys using vocal and guitar effects to add sonic textures to elevate the performance. He's currently putting together a new band and musicians. Influences: Beck, David Bowie, Tom Petty, Bleachers, Rolling Stones, U2, Radiohead, Coldplay and many more. Recent Vancouver performances include: Edgemont Studios, Kings Head Pub, Corduroys, and the Vancouver Musicians Association seminar. Hatch moved back to Vancouver in 2021, from Toronto and Regina. He spent many years in Vancouver attending music school at Capilano University and playing in bands (including THOR) or performing solo. Johnny then returned to his hometown of Regina, Sask. to be closer to family, opened a music school and released 2 albums. His album 'Happiness Instead' received airplay across of the parts of Canada and the US. He's performed in Western Canada, Toronto, California and Greece. Johnny spent the last 4 years in the greater Toronto area, before moving back to Vancouver. As he was raised in Regina by his Greek immigrant parents. The prairies, west coast and even a world influence shine thru in some of his music. This led to him releasing his more world music and acoustic songs under the side project: Folk Sanctuary. CBC's Grant Lawrence called him an "infamous Prairie rocker", while a member of the acclaimed Cowsill musical family declared him a genius.
