Jacob Rose is a singer-songwriter based in Calgary AB, and St. Stephen NB, who writes across many genres, his style traversing rock, hip-hop, folk and pop. In 2016, his song “Marco Polo” was a finalist in the Roots/Folk and Country categories at the YYCMusic Awards in Calgary. Compared to the likes of Mumford & Sons, Ed Sheeran and the Barenaked Ladies, Rose has carved out a space for his own distinct sound that separates him from other artists. There is a level of depth found in his music; in addition to love and heartbreak, he dives headfirst into topics of politics, philosophy, and religion and questions their place throughout his music. Jacob Rose recently opened up for Leeroy Stagger and the Sam Roberts Band at the 2018 Big Rock Barner concert.
