About the artist
“Singer/Songwriter Doug Robb is an experienced vocalist with a wide vocal range and dynamic interaction with audiences who can play multiple sets of original and cover songs. ”
Formerly the Frontman for Canadian Recording Artist Ministry of Zen, Doug Robb has made a name for himself across Canada. With a 4 Octave vocal range (5 on a good day), his powerful voice has been compared to Steve Perry (Journey). With 3 successful cross-Canada Tours in support of Commercial Radio releases of Another Ride (2010), Lift (2010), and Anthem (2011) and 3 appearances at the INIC Showcase during Canadian Music Week (2009, 2010, 2012), Ministry of Zen was a buzz band with plenty of momentum. They earned direct support slots for household names like Our Lady Peace, I Mother Earth, David Wilcox, Helix, and Edwin & The Pressure until the band members decided to go their separate ways.
Since then, Doug has fronted numerous other projects (Cover & Tribute) and is currently the frontman for Edmonton’s Premier Cover Band, Powerhouse as well as Cam Macleod’s White Wolf (original). Direct support slots with Artists such as Honeymoon Suite, Darby Mills Project, Rick Emmett (Triumph), Lee Aaron, and Alannah Myles, have continued to showcase Doug among Canada’s premier vocalists.
Music and singing is in Doug's blood and now he is excited to be continuing his musical journey full time as a Singer/Songwriter, performing his original songs and various cover songs acoustically to audiences across Alberta and Canada. Doug’s voice will not only capture the audience’s attention but also hold it as they anticipate his soaring vocals and interactive show.
