Vanessa grew up in the south of Chile, and has been inspired by various influences from a young age. Her interest in R&B and Hip Hop culture has led her to develop her singing and freestyling skills, becoming an indelible part of the Calgary underground scene. She learned to play guitar and sing along at age 12 and from then on, she taught herself covers of songs she loved. She participated in 2 choirs in her university years in Chile, and started busking in 2017. In 2020, after a couple years of learning to freestyle in rap circles in Calgary, she began writing her own songs, which she now performs mixed in with her favorite covers. Vanessa offers a relaxing atmosphere curating unique folk and R&B songs from artists like Lianne La Havas, SZA and Sade.
