Raised in a small prairie town, Christina grew up in a musical family where the sounds of southern rock, country, gospel and blues could often be heard on playing on her Dad’s stereo. Her first live performance was at 5 years old, and she learned to play guitar at age 12. In her teens, she became enamoured with artists like Etta James, Mavis Staples, Nina Simone, The Band, JJ Cale, and Bob Dylan. In 2014, Christina went back to writing, recording and performing after taking a hiatus to raise her three daughters, one of whom has a cognitive disability. She recently released an original project called “Uncaged".
