About the event
Join us for an unforgettable evening of live jazz featuring Noah Pettibon, a baritone saxophonist, composer, and bandleader who has been making waves in the Pacific Northwest scene. Born in 1998, Noah discovered his love for music at an early age, beginning with piano lessons before moving to saxophone, clarinet, and flute. A graduate of Central Washington University, he honed his craft performing both in concert traditions and in jazz ensembles, holding the baritone saxophone chair in Jazz Band 1. Deeply rooted in the jazz tradition, Noah has studied with and been mentored by renowned artists such as the late Barry Harris, Frank Basile, Gary Smulyan, Jay Thomas, Kareem Kandi, and Tracy Knoop. His artistry reflects both a respect for the masters and a fresh, individual voice on his instruments. Noah has shared the stage with Delfeayo Marsalis, John Clayton, Dmitri Matheny, Jay Thomas, and Rich Wetzel’s Groovin’ Higher Orchestra, and his versatility extends from straight-ahead jazz to rock and fusion. He continues to perform and record throughout the Puget Sound area as both leader and sideman, with multiple recordings under his own name—including his debut EP Plus Two, released at just 19 years old.
